Tempest Photography, a specialist in the education sector, wanted a better way to record pictures taken at graduation ceremonies. A system which uses RFID tags sewn into gowns has enabled it to improve administration and ensure that students receive the right photographs to capture their big day.
Hidden laundry tags help ensure the right match
Each ceremonial gown has an RFID laundry tag sewn into the hem. When the photograph is taken, the RFID tag is scanned to match that photograph with that garment, and therefore that particular student.
CoreRFID supplied a range of ultra-high frequency (UHF) RFID laundry tags and handheld readers. The laundry tags were specially designed to be sewn into garments and survive the harsh washing, drying and ironing processes that they must undergo repeatedly.
H Tempest have over 30 years’ experience, and use specialist photographers who can capture the graduates with their families and fellow students. With state-of-the-art laboratory and processing facilities, the company can guarantee the best quality photographs to look back on for years to come.
