Pro Mech Ground Support Systems adopted CoreRFID’s CheckedOK inspection reporting software in 2018, shortly after launching its lifting services division, and hasn’t looked back since. The system has not only saved time, but has also been instrumental in helping it win new clients and build its business.
The lifting services team now consists of 10 staff who are based at the firm’s headquarters in Fareham, Hampshire and provide services including LOLER and PUWER inspections throughout the south of England. Clients include Tier 1 contractors and the team have worked on high-profile projects including Crossrail, HS2, and the M23 and M27 upgrades.
Before adopting CheckedOK, engineers carrying out inspections would record the results manually by taking notes on site and bringing them back to the office to be typed up. However the process was cumbersome and resulted in delays sending certificates to customers.
They now capture data on mobile devices on site and reports are generated automatically, saving time and removing the need for paperwork. It enables the company to offer same-day reporting while clients can log into the system at any time to check the status of their equipment.
Matt England, Director, said the system had saved the company a huge amount of time, however it had also proved to be a key factor in winning new clients and driving the growth of the business.

Pro Mech, which specialises in excavation plant hire, was founded in 2000. In addition to its Fareham headquarters, it has offices in Uckbridge, East Sussex and Shepton Mallet, Somerset.
