CoreRFID is helping H Tempest to improve the process of recording photographs taken at graduation ceremonies. Each ceremonial gown has an RFID tag sewn into the hem of each garment. When the photograph is taken the RFID tag is scanned to match that photograph with that garment (therefore that student) to greatly improve the administration of the event.
CoreRFID supplies a range of ultra-high frequency, UHF RFID tags and handheld Bluetooth readers. The RFID tags selected were the Datamars NOVO that are specially designed to be sewn into garments and survive the harsh washing, drying and ironing processes that these garments go through repeatedly. The handheld reader selected was the Caen R1240I qID that can connect to a smartphone, tablet or PC via Bluetooth for ultimate flexibility.
